Update: Second full day after hospital discharge

First, the good news.

We are now ensconced in a Redwood City home owned by one of Meda’s sisters. We arrived here around 2 pm Sunday.

It’s a nice house, hidden on a flag lot down a long driveway. Certainly a very nice place to recuperate for a few weeks.

And I do appear to be bouncing back from the surgery. I’m off pain meds except Tylenol without a problem. I walked the long driveway out to the street this morning, at least a few hundred feet each way. Will repeat later this afternoon.

The discharge from the drain that is still inserted at the surgery site has nearly stopped.

And I’m awake and upright for much more of the day, a continuing process.

Great to get your update Ian! I have been wondering…the house is lovely and you appear in good health in spite of it all. I hope the food situation is improving and you don’t feel like you’re starving… from my point of view, its too bad you dont have the care of your four-legged family to see you thru and I’m sure they feel the same way. Its really great that you are walking the diveway distance unassisted though, and hopefully by the time you see your Dr for the checkup, he’ll decide to release sooner. My fingers are crossed for all of the above… Sending Aloha? and prayers?? to you and Meda – A hui hou??
